At the most important moment of Charu’s life, she desapiered from the event without any trace and was found unconscious and brutally injured after six days, in front of a police station wrapped in bundles of newspapers.
Her medical report says that she was been raped by 12 men.
Inspector Wasim was new transferred and wass been put in charge of the case with a warning as he was failed in his last case.
Before Wasim could set his theory about the crime, a transgender woman named Shabnam visits a police station and confesses that she has raped Charu.
Shabnam confess that she is one of the rapist but she didn’t raped charu of her own will. She was been forced to rape on a gun point. She was also forced to mark a cut on Charu’s wrist by a cutter.
Wasim was clueless from where to start to solve this case. With the help of Dr. Shefali he starts cross checking the DNAs of the criminals from the police records for a match and found a suspect named Sydney who was arrested five years back for molesting a girl at a public place.
Wasim hunts for Sydney and finds that he is a homeless drug addict man and mentally sick.
Wasim didn’t find any connection between Sydney and Shabnam.
Except for one, a long time back, both had a criminal record and were arrested only one time in their life.
Wasim dig into the records and finds out that both were arrested acting red handed by the news photographer Charu.
He got a hunch
Wasim meets Charu’s colleagues, Tanvi and Sahil, and collects all the news articles Charu has ever worked.
He finds two suspects who were accused by charu in her news article but were never filed due to lack of evidence. A street food vendor, and a security guard of a residential society.
Wasim search for them and finds out that both were running away. Before they could vanish, Wasim catch them and gets the confession that they both have raped Charu but not by will as same as Shubnam.
Wasim understand that all four suspects were the actual victims of false news reports that Charu had plotted. He is confused now. Who is actual victim and who guilty?
Wasim starts making a list of people of whom Charu has ruined the life. He finds out about Charu’s ex-boyfriend Rajesh was a good level banker but due to Charu missed used his profile, He was been fired.
At the same time, a police constable named Damodar joins Wasim’s team and brings the lead that there is lawyer named Ravikiran who was accused by Charu and can also be a suspect.
Wasim visits Ravikran’s office and finds out that Ravikiran and Rahul were waiting for Wasim to show up. And Damodar was also one of the rapist from the twelve.
Charu was conscious enough to give a statement. But instead of supporting police, she denies for a statement and arrogantly accused for admitting her in general govt. hospital instead of some private hospital.
Wasim was clueless how to react but at same moment he found a mute boy admitted in same hospital couple of days back for committing a suicide. He was constantly crying looking at Charu’s room.
Wasim found that boy was burned in one of the industrial strike long time back which was covered by Charu. And he is also one of the rapists.
Wasim get success to find three more suspects one of them was a reataurant owner, a chef and an auto rikshaw driver. Eleven Suspects were caught. But Wasim was restless as non of them is the master mind of this crime.
His investigation leads him to one of the first cover of Charu’s life that was a college post event from one of the hill station. Wasim was shocked as at same time a gay boy committed a suicide in a same college and Wasim was the investigating officer of the case. Wasim started connecting all the dots.
Wasim visited the college and was surprised to find that Sahil from Charu’s office was also a student of the same college.
After digging more, he became confident that Sahilis was the 12thrapist and the mastermind behind the crime.
As he reached back, he arrested Sahil and and ran a DNA test as the 12th suspect. But the results didn’t match. Before Wasim could collect more information and catch hold Sahila, a teenage cancer patient posted a confession on social media from his deathbed that because of Charu’s false news report he had lost his mother and to avenge her, he plotted the entire crime.
All accused including Charu were held for trial. Sahil vanished and Wasim lost his case and his post.
